Schlern crossing

Tour description
Transfer to the Seiser pasture, 45 minutes at 1855m. Across the rolling meadows of the Seiser pasture to the Saltner Scwaige at 1830m. This is where the ascent to the Schlern high altitude plateau starts, followed by the Gamssteig path to the peak of Monte Pez at 2600m. Afterwards descent to the historic Schlern house. Lunch. The view stretches from Rosengarten and the central and easter Dolomites ranges up to the glaciers of the main Alpine ranges. The descent follows along the high altitude pasture to the Tschafatsch saddle at 2020m and via a steep slope back to the hotel Dosses.
