Swing on Snow
In March winter athletes will be accompanied for a week with hearty folk music in the nearby spring. Famous bands and music groups celebrate on the Seiser Alm sound travel that deserve all the predicate "very authentic".
Oswald von Wolkenstein Ride
South Tyrol's largest riding event in May commemorates the legendary knight, poet and singer whose life was closely linked to the villages and castles at the foot of the Schlern. This is a course of traditional ride games which leads 36 participating teams, whom the day really demands everything from. Well worth seeing!
A "Harass" is a wooden crate - once a year here with us in Tiers on the Wuhnleger it is filled with bacon, chamois sausages, Bergler bread and cheese. Enjoy the meal!
As part of the summer in Bergler in Tiers Bergler nights take place at the bottom of Rosengarten - a street party with food and music and enchanting nocturnal atmosphere.
Spatzen in the open air
In Seis the Kastelruther Spatzen invite every year in June to an open air concert - a good opportunity to hear them live on vacation in their homeland.
Seiser Alm Half Marathon
The grandiose Dolomite scenery and the around 600 m to be overcome in altitude make this run on Europe's largest high alpine pasture to an unusual sporting event. Maybe drungin your vacation you feel like being at the start in July?
This mountain running in the picturesque Val d'Ega goes along more than 900 meters in altitude. The track itself is 4 km long. The start is on the Frommer Alm at an altitude of 1,743 m. Would that be something for you?
On a balmy summer evening on the Proa-meadow in front of Rosengarten an unusual culinary event is held: Sitting on a 100 m long table 160 gourmet strung and convince themselves of the delights of Tierser kitchen with a five-course meal with panoramic view.
In September, everything revolves in Seis to the Strudel, you can enoy it filled with apple, plum or plug, in a thousand variations. A traditional farmers' market, ancient customs and folk music round off the gourmet day.
Kastelruther Spatzen Festival
If you miss the concert in summer, then you can experience the "heroes of the folk music" in October at the Kastelruther Spatzen festival in the stronghold Kastelruth - for fans the top of folk music in the year.
The Völser innkeepers call every year the "Gastronomical October", where you can enjoy plenty of fine South Tyrolean delicacies according to the original recipe.
Driving down of cattle in St. Zyprian
You must have experienced it: the driving down of the cattle is one of the most important peasant traditions of the Alpine region. Be there when the magnificently decorated cattle on the first Sunday in October is rubbed back to the valley. A big folk festival with grilled specialties and live music are of course part of the event.
