Literature, maps, stocks to hire
The hiking season starts here in early May and lasts till the beginning of November. You might want to familiarize with the landscape of our Nature Park Schlern-Rosengarten before start walking. Our hiking hotel in South Tyrol puts at your disposal a complete hiking library to borrow from. Reduce your luggage, because maps and stocks you may borrow from us!
Tours with the Alpine School
We work as a hiking hotel in South Tyrol closely with the Alpine School from Thomas Zelger. It offers depending on the season 3-6 guided alpine hikes a week, so for sure there will be rewarding tours for you as well. The current program is presented every Sunday by the respective guides. The Alpine School is happy to give you suggestions for outstanding hiking, giving tips for equipment. Via ferrata and climbing tours of your choice can be booked on site.

The route to the Nature Park House with the famous Venetian saw? An exhilarating hike around Tiers from hut to hut. Or a hearty Törggele hike in autumn? You have a fantastic choice of routes. Telescopic poles, maps, and hiking, you can always borrow from us at the hotel. After your hiking holiday in the Dolomites you will be proud to say of yourselves: “Yes, I was right at the top”! Even untrained are able to climb one or the other of our beautiful mountains to the summit cross – a lucky experience that you should also treat yourself.
Hikes with experienced mountain guides
From early May to early November we have the Alpine School ArcAlpin in the house, with whom we cooperate closely. The certified mountain and hiking guide Paul Psenner and Thomas Zelger will gladly include you on guided tours, of which 3-6 are offered per week. Every Sunday, the new routes will be presented. The two experienced hikers will give you advice on equipment and valuable tour tips if you want to go out on your own in the Dolomites during your hiking holiday. And we – the family Schroffenegger – gladly be at your side with advice and assistance.

Tiers is embedded in a network of hiking trails of almost 450 km, extending from the Rosengarten up on the Seiser Alm.
