For climbers the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park is a paradise. Over the years numerous mountain sports luminaries in the region have shown off their skills here, facing the unique challenge of climbing in the Dolomites. Do it after them, and measure yourself at Schlern and the many climbing trails around the Seiser Alm – up to the Dolomites highlight Marmolada. For your climbing holiday, our hotel is the most convenient location. You can almost trace your route at a glance out the window.

Numerous ferrata

Of course we stand as the descendants of the great South Tyrolean mountain guide Franz Schroffenegger in a special duty against each climber. As passionate as our grandfather mastered at his time seemingly impossible passages in the mountains, we also want to open you in your climbing holiday all way up. In our region you can find ferrata for almost any requirement: for beginners as well as for climbing aces. Such was the way also Johann Santner, who gave the name the peak of the Schlern after his first ascent 1880. The tour to Santnerspitze is certainly one of the most seductive of the area. But the many other ferrata nearby invite you to climb in the Dolomites.

Talented mountain guide at your side

Our hotel works closely with the Alpine School ArcAlpin. Their experienced mountain guide Thomas Zelger will accompany you on the via ferrata of your choice. Sunday night, you can specify with him your routes. And if you like to further strengthen and train your skills in your climbing holiday, you can do it on site taking part to different climbing courses – also for children. St. Zyprian is the perfect place to complete a total of 8 fixed rope routes in the Rosengarten. The Rosengarten is for climbers also particularly attractive because many of the via ferrata are easy to reach without hours-long routes.
